SEIKO PMC CORPORATION (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Japan; Representative Director, President and Executive Officer: Seido Kan) has decided to change its company name to “CHEMIPAZ Corporation” (pronounced: Kemipazu Kabushiki Gaisha, English notation: CHEMIPAZ CORPORATION) effective April 1st of this year, with the aim of enhancing corporate value and renewing its brand image
1.Thoughts behind the new company name and logo
The new company name “CHEMIPAZ” is a word that combines our aspirations for society.
With our strength rooted in chemistry (CHEMICAL), we will co-create with our customers to reach new heights (CHEMISTRY).
Becoming partners (PARTNER) with our customers, we will provide products that contribute to every aspect (A to Z) of people’s (PERSON) daily lives, and turn that joy into further passion (PASSION).
The shape of the logo is derived from “Seiko=Star Light”, the former company name, which was also cherished by employees.
While valuing the DNA of Seiko PMC, we express the progressiveness (the desired future state) that “illuminates” society and the steadfastness (the state we wish to maintain) that “supports” daily life with a two-color symbol logo.
The logo is drawn with an upward-right orientation to represent our stance of growing together with our customers, and the font of the logo is designed to be powerful, modern, soft, and friendly.
2.Reasons for the change
Since becoming unlisted due to Carlyle’s capital participation in 2023, our company has implemented various measures to enhance corporate value and has gotten certain result.
However, in order to further enhance corporate value in the future, we believed it was necessary to renew our brand image, make our company’s presence more strongly recognized by our stakeholders, and strongly demonstrate, both internally and externally, our group’s intention to “be reborn stronger”.
Along with our newly formulated MVV “Comfortable Life, Innovative Future” last year, we intend to use this as a banner for our company’s transformation.
We will continue to make the most of the “strengths” we have cultivated so far and work with our stakeholders.
